Emmanuel Rosario is a photographer who specialises in capturing raw, authentic images that invoke a sense of nostalgia. Inspired by the open road and his own nomadic nature, Rosario’s oeuvre is defined by people who choose to live outside the conformity of mainstream society and personal moments he would like to remember. Humble adventures rooted in poignancy provide an intimate documentation of the pursuit of unburdened freedom whilst revealing a deeper longing of belonging to.
Born in Harlem, New York, in 1989, Rosario is the son of immigrants from the Dominican Republic. Rosario’s early life was characterised by solo adventure and discovery, as his parents worked long hours to provide for him and his siblings. With a curious mind and a never-ending hunger for exploration, he taught himself French and started traveling with a camera in 2011 without any formal photographic training.
